Inspiration
Jesus
Christ shows us to be fully human according to God's intentions
He teaches a caring love for the world He lived in
and healed those He met. (Cons:3)
Every day in happiness or pain, falling or standing up we try to orientate our lives upon Him.
The Gospels tell about Christ and His compassion for people, how he did well
and took care of those who suffered,
attentive and full of love.
"Jesus made a tour through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and curing all kinds of diseases and ailments. And when he saw the crowds he felt sorry for them because they were harassed and rejected like sheep without shepherd.” (Mt.9:35-36)
Mary
Mary, the holy virgin and mother of God conceived without sin, is the patron saint of this Congregation. In living their religious vows ( faithful, free from possession and pure) the brothers will follow the example of Mary who called herself: “the Lord’s servant”. (Cons: Preamble).
Mary called herself a servant of the Lord,
By serving Him she opened herself totally for His will;
She received Him, gave birth to Him and accepted His death.
Together with her we try to serve the Lord
who sets free, compassioned and life giving.
Francis of Assisi
To opt for this Congregation means to opt to live the gospel in the spirit of Saint Francis. (Cons:17)
The life of Francis from Assisi inspires a lot of people, man and women,
looking for a life in peace, in harmony with nature, together as brothers and sisters,
sustaining the awareness of God’s loving and creative presence.
In that way, as members of the Third Order Regular in the Franciscan family,
we try to live the message of Christ.
We live, bound together as brothers,
giving signs of love and hope by our religious vows
and serving by obvious activities.
